HAY BALE VENTILATION

Lasco Modular Aeration system for round and square bales.

Advantages:

• Compact modular systems equipped with roofing.
• Reduction in required space of up to 50% compared to "single-sided-aeration", since this system is built with two layers of square bales on top of each other.
• Double aeration approach, with a separate airflow for both layers.
• The two directly opposed airflows consistently flow through the entire haystack.
• The system achieves a limited heat loss, because the aeration canals are shielded between the hay bales.

A ventilation module allows for the simultaneous drainage and drying of two stacked rows of four round hay bales.
The module has an upper and a lower aeration chamber. The two chambers are connected in the middle with tubes, enabling the air to flow through. The four bottom bales are aired from underneath, the top ones from above.
Neither the axial nor the radial direction of the airflow is predefined, resulting in a uniformly drying- and an efficient ventilation procedure.
