On the way to agricultural self-marketing
Christoph Steinbacher from Schwoich in Tyrol has optimized his farm. He can provide the feed for his cows days in advance. Feeding is carried out by a feeding robot. This saves the young farmer valuable time that he would like to invest in marketing his own products in the future.
Fresh grasses and herbs from the mountain pasture. This is what Christoph Steinbacher feeds his cows in summer. For winter feeding, he relies on a uniform feed composition to keep milk yield and ingredients consistently high. He can prepare the feed several days in advance.
The young farmer has also invested in knowledge and machinery in order to market his milk himself in the future. To this end, he has attended several training courses and also purchased some new machines. His self-marketing will enter the next round at the end of September. The pasteurizer and other machines will then be delivered.
He will sell his products in his own farm store. He also sells to the surrounding restaurants and regional supermarkets.
The farmer receives strong support from his new LASCO C-series hay crane. This enables him to effortlessly feed his dosing systems and fill his hay drying box.
