Josef and Peter Schinaggl run a 70-hectare organic farm and have been producing hay milk for the Andechser dairy since 2017. A hay barn was built to create space for the hay. There are two ²⁰⁰ m2 hay barns for drying and storage.
A high-performance dehumidifier is used to dry the hay in bad weather or at night. This is automatically requested via the control system and has a maximum power consumption of 32 kW. When the weather is fine, the drying air is extracted via the roof extraction system. The total roof area is ^700m2 and provides up to 280 kW of heat output. A 30 kW high-power ice fan supplies the ^200m2 hay box with drying air.
